Séchage raconte le trajet à pied de l’artisan catalan, Perejaume, depuis son atelier jusqu’au musée de peinture de San Pol de Mar. Les mains en offrande devant lui, il tient un monticule de peinture fraîche. Le film est la reconstitution patiente de cette action qui dure le temps du séchage de la peinture. Par ce trajet solennel, il accomplit une offrande énigmatique.
Séchage (Paint Drying) tells Catalan craftsman Perejaume’s walk from his workshop to the painting museum in San Pol de Mar. Hands in a supinating, alm-giving posture, he holds a heap of wet paint. The film patiently pieces together this ritual lasting as long as the paint lays drying. Through this solemn journey he gives enigmatic alms.
